The Princess, the Cow, and the Corn Maze release New York, NY, July 15, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Princess, The Cow, and The Corn Maze, a new musical making its world premiere this summer at the Midtown International Theatre Festival, has been selected as The Bungalow Foundation’s (TheBungalow.org) summer outing for children undergoing clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Hackensack Meridian Health K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital. The Princess, The Cow, and The Corn Maze is a new children’s musical based on the soon to be released children’s book of the same title by award-winning author Amber L. Spradlin with book and lyrics by Michael MacKenzie Wills (creator/writer/director of the MAC Award winning Operation Opera and The Adventures of Superbunny musicals), Music is composed by C. Colby Sachs (composer of A Cow Named Cow), and choreography is by J. Joseph Burke (A Superbunny Christmas). Kally Deep stars as Princess Mimi, Matt Haas as Cow, and Erik Jonathan Shuler as The King and The Beasts. The Princess, The Cow, and The Corn Maze introduces audiences to a new adventure in the “Cow” musicals cannon. This time Cow meets a Princess who has lost her way while traversing the hedge maze at her father’s castle and accidentally ends up in Farmer Brown’s corn maze. Together the two encounter an alligator, a lion, a caterpillar, a wolf, a fox, a monkey, and a butterfly along the path. Some are friendly, some are dangerous, and some are loads of fun, but all teach the Princess positive life lessons throughout her journey to find her way home. The Princess, The Cow, and The Corn Maze will be presented at the 18th annual Midtown International Theatre Festival (www.midtownfestival.org) by non-profit theatre company Rabbit Hole Theatricks, Inc. (www.RabbitHoleTheatricks.org). It is a family friendly musical, well suited to young audiences - children of all ages (and their parents). Rabbit Hole Theatricks will donate a copy of the book the musical is based on to each young patient coming to see the production. Two hundred people celebrated that release at the Indie Street Film Festival release party in Red Bank NJ. All proceeds from the sale of MaryAnn's new single will benefit The Bungalow Foundation, a non-profit co-founded by MaryAnn and her husband Joseph. We believe that engagement in music, visual arts therapy, movement-based creative expression and expressive writing is not only comforting, cheerful and supportive, but also promotes wellness and healing. The Bungalow Foundation's charter gives them the ability to distribute "Packages of Hope" to cancer patients. Packages contain a variety of items hand picked by Maryann including music, books and other expressive artistic items such as art class enrollment, theater and ballet tickets or expressive writing classes, based on the patient’s needs and interests.
